According to Christina Lardier writing in Air & Cosmos 5 December 1997 the Kometa (Yantar-1KFT) spacecraft consisted of the Yantar-2K service module, the Zenit re-entry vehicle and the Resource F2 solar arrays. Maybe this craft looks something like the figure above. The picture of the service module and the re-entry vehicle has been adapted from a sketch of the Nika-T spacecraft.
The pciture below is taken frpm a CSDB brochure and shows a spacecraft to be placed in the vacuum tank. Doesn't the spacecraft look very much what we think Yantar-1KFT should look like?
